Last Sunday at Bear Creek Baptist Church, we gathered for a powerful time of worship and reflection. As we navigated the challenges of the week, our hearts were centered once again on the foundational truth of our faith: the sacrifice made at Calvary.

The Power of God

Pastor Rev. Greg McEwen delivered a moving message titled “The Cross Means Everything to Me.” Drawing from the deep truths found in 1 Corinthians 1:18, he reminded us that while the world may view the cross through various lenses, for the believer, it is the ultimate source of strength.

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” — 1 Corinthians 1:18

Rev. McEwen challenged us to consider what the cross truly signifies in our daily lives. It isn’t just a symbol to be worn or a historical event to be remembered; it is the living demonstration of God’s love and the bridge to our redemption.
