Overview

Message Highlights

  • Point 1: Rev. Greg walked through Matthew 16:13-17, showing how the crowds had many opinions about Jesus (John the Baptist, Elijah, Jeremiah, or a prophet), but Jesus turned the question to the disciples: “But who do you say I am?” Peter boldly answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
  • Point 2: He explained verses 18-20—Jesus declared that on this rock of confession He would build His church, and the gates of Hades would not overcome it—reminding us that a personal answer to Jesus’ question changes everything.

Reflection

Matthew 16:15-16 really stood out: “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Rev. Greg’s message made it clear—this isn’t just Peter’s moment; it’s our daily confession. When we truly know who Jesus is, our lives are built on the unshakable foundation of Christ Himself.
